Richmondmom.com and Top Notch Richmond know that teachers are one of Richmond’s most valuable resources, so we want to encourage Richmonders to nominate their favorite preschool-to-high school teacher for the 2010 Top Teacher Contest.In 2009, thousands voted and Erin Flanagan of Mary Munford School of Richmond was the winner. This year, the contest is bigger and better. Richmond’s Top Teacher will win over $2,000 in gifts, below.

Here’s how it works:

1) From 3/10/10 through 3/18/10, you may nominate any teacher preschool-high school via this contest link on Richmondmom.com and Top Notch Richmond.

2) Beginning 3/20/10 through 3/31/10 all nominations are live on Richmondmom.com & you may VOTE once for any nominated teacher.

3) The winning teacher will receive an amazing prize package (announced 3/10/10) from Richmond businesses totalling over $2,000! The winner will also be recognized at a Richmond Squirrels game, throwing out the first pitch, and will be escorted off the field in their own limo from James River Limousine! Winner will be announced 4/1/10.

4) The teacher with the top-votes from each county in the surrounding Richmond-area will also be recognized during Teacher Recognition Week in early May at a Richmond Squirrels game!
