About Us

Nicole Lumpkin is a Workshop Consultant for Children R First.  She has been a trainer for a little over a year and has provided trainings for several schools, VAECE and the Hanover Childcare Quality Initiative.  Nicole says; "I love to train….it is a thrill to see how I can motivate teachers to change their classrooms to make the environment and the interactions more meaningful for both teachers and children."

Nicole has been involved in early childhood education for 20 years.  She began as a substitute with Children’s World Learning Center and remained with the center, ending up as a District Trainer for Pre-Kindergarten.  After the dissolution of the company, she moved to the Goddard School where she was Assistant Director and Pre-K Lead Teacher.  She mentored new teachers throughout the next 7 years. Nicole also attended training to gain the knowledge to become qualified as a STARS mentor.  Nicole completed her master’s degree in Education in 2010 and began her career as a trainer.

Children R First is thrilled to have Nicole join our team as we continue our mission to help teachers, administrators and parents provide a unified voice for young chidlren.

Testimonials

Kristi was the entire reason that I felt able to leave my child and return to the workforce. She both directly taught and directed others in teaching my daughter during the most pivotal age of her life. I am richer for having known and interacted with Kristi Stilson.
